If you want to create a bog-standard audio CD from selected tracks on your computer, then this works fine: You should use CD-R or CD+R discs. CD-RW's usually do not play. Windows Media Player (WMP) does it perfectly well on XP or Vista. You must finalize the disc, or it won't play.
Clmrt. Just thrilled. Dec 3, 2009. #2. So long as the DVD player displays this symbol, it should play CD's. I've never heard of a DVD player that doesn't, but I imagine there are a few specialized models. I've used 2nd generation Sony (1997), and currently an old Pioneer (1999) for both CD and DVD and they have performed very well as CD players.
