writtenby on 18/01/2006. I had a Jaguar X Type 2.5 for 6 months.shudder. On my first long drive, the radiator hose blew off as the system had been over pressurised by Jaguar. I limped into the services but the damage had been done, blown head gasket and ruined engine. Total engine rebuild £3000, thankfully still under warranty.
Thebrand’s reliability ratings have finally begun to improve somewhat in the last few years, so many of the most reliable Jaguar models are newer.
